This was one of the first joints of its kind to open over on our side of the tracks, and to great fanfare. It's nice to see they've gotten all the press they have, and the place really hosts a diverse level of possible experiences. One night it's overrun with bike hipsters, their shiny track bikes stacked against booths and piled in the smoker's patio; the next there's an art opening, accompanied by live burlesque theatre. One New Year's, we went down just around midnight and there were about 20 people, all over the spectrum. It was equal parts unintentional-dive, intentionally hip, and thoroughly hospitable. We were poured complimentary sparkling wine at the bar, until the cases ran out. I keep meaning to try their Guiness-spiked bloody mary--hear it's one of the best in the city. Go Bushwick.
